Hay! Guess what! I'm gona keep the blog even though class is out! :D So whats happened since the middle of May you ask? Well....


2 weeks ago my bad knee gave out at work completely and now I'm on pain killers (that aren't working all that well anymore), anti inflamitories, and walking/limping with a cane. :D

3 days ago I ate at Subway and contracted food poisoning. :D

I've started a new personal project I'm calling the "WoW Event Project" where I'm illustrating each WoW event as it comes. 1st one is "Childrens Week" and can be found at my professional deviant art page.
Childrens Week is an event centered around players helping orphans in game with various tasks (meeting there heroes, seeing far off places, ect). There are 3 orphans you help and at the end of the quest chains players can choose between 2 and 3 pets (3 for the first 2 parts of the game and 2 for the latest expansion).

Next up is the Midsummer Fire Festival. Durring the MFF, players honor the bone fires of there own factions while desecrating those of the opposing faction. There are fireworks, may poll dancing, torch throwing and other activities. It ends on July 4th with a massive fireworks display in the main cities of each faction. I'm thinking about an image depicting an in game friend tied to one of the dancing polls. :3



On a professional note, I've started work with a friend of my dads who is starting his own business and wants me to do all the graphics work for him. Everything from Logo to packaging to webdesign.


And on a semi professional note (meaning I'm getting taken advantage of right now but I'll probably get into the con for free) I'm helping a friend develop some of the graphic and mascot work for the anime convention shes working to get started up in Lebonon. As one of the most haunted cities in the US we thought about making the mascot a Japanese ghost/demon. I've got a few concept sketches done and they'll be up in a few days on DA.

You get 2GBs free but you can pay to get more. But to put it in perspective, my whole site only takes up 4MBs which barely moves the used space bar.

-Etsy: I posted my mosaic Murky a few weeks ago and realized that I really liked how it came out and I had a lot of fun doing it despite how much work I had to do to make it. So I'm crafting the 3 Murlock sibling pets the same way I did Murky, print them on good quality card stock, and mount them on good quality black threw-and-threw foam core.
Murky - WAS 100% but my computer decided to eat the file. Its too blurry when it prints. I wont sell a low quality piece so I'm re-doing it.

Holy Hell! 2 weeks in a row! On Time! I must be sick. @.@ And I just realized that last weeks update was dated wrong. XD

Personal update: I'M NOT SICK ANYMORE! WOO! And my hand is almost all better! I've been drawing like crazy lately. My drawing teacher is going to get my sketchbook and think I was drunk or high for most of them. I swear I wasn't! I'm just glad I can draw again so I'm drawing practically everything that comes to mind. X3

Also, I'm in a really good mood. I got into the Juried show at school. My naked man puzzle and a poster I did for another graphics class that I was particularly proud of.

Fun times abound....somewhere else. I am currently in Physical Therapy for the hand because, apparently, the nerves and tendons have shortened up (something about there soft tissue so they do that. I'm not exactly clear why, thats just what the PT lady said) cuasing me pain every time I straightened out my arm or tried to lift anything. Its finally letting up, though. FINALLY.

I finished the book I partially reviewed last post so I can give a full opinion now. READ IT! Seriously. Its an amazing book. Its just an amazing must read!

March 16th

Sill find this hard to keep up with. I'm just not the bloging type so it just slips my mind. I know its not a good excuse but its the truth.

General stuff thats been happening: Fell down the stairs and bruised my tailbone AGAIN. As soon as my new studio apartment is inhabitable (which wont be for another 3-4 months at least) I'm moving in. Dont care if I have to live around putting the cabinets and things in and having all my clothes in boxes under the bed. I want away from the stairs that are, apparently, trying to kill me.

My tendinitis was getting better by last post but the friday after the last post I was at work, picked up a box that weighed probably between 18 and 20 pounds (good game none existent safety regulations), and promptly dropped it and almost screamed from the pain that shot up my arm. Next morning I was in Koke Mill where they gave me the wrong brace (one for my wrist but the problem was in my thumb) and a pain shot. Then proceeded to prescribe a low dose of anti inflammatory and didn't tell me NOT to take them till the next day. Took ONE about an hour before work. Took a short nap. Fell out of bed and crawled down the stairs half an hour latter. Turned out I accidentally OD'ed on the meds cuse they didn't warn me.


So THAT was a lovely weekend. @.@

-Etsy: I have to change my Etsy project. The repetitive motion of cutting the board for the portfolios would cause more damage and slow the healing process to my thumb. Instead I plan on putting up a project from my drawing class.

-Web Portfolio: I CAN SAVE! I'm anal retentive about websites so its "done" but not. @.@ This weekend.

!Topic of the day!

I guess this is more like a mini review. I just got the book "Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Slayer". So far I've only gotten about 1/3 of the way threw it but I have to say its amazing. A very interesting blend of fact and fiction. You have to have an open mind when reading it, though. Its not the typical view of Honest Abe.

I know Liz is probably gona give me a bad mark for this thing. >.< I have a reason for not posting recently though!
1) Monster flue persisted for another week after the last post.
2) My ISP decided to just die for about 2 weeks and because of a busy work schedule I couldn't make it to school to use a school computer.
3) I have sever tendinitis in my wrist and thumb which flared up. It went away a bit but its still painful to type, draw, or write for long periods of time.

-Photo Narative: I'm going to do "a year in the life of Sparta". I took a lot of pictures of my cat over the last year (since my last cat ran away and I realized I only had 1 picture of him and it was almost 5 years old I've been taking a lot of pictures of Sparta) so I decided I'm going to take some that I've taken already as well as going out and taking new pictures (such as pictures of the vets office and the pound where I got him) and put them in order to document the last year with him. This cant be finished until after spring break, though, because I wont have the time to go out to the vet and pound until then.

-Pixel Girl: Obviously as its midterm I'm not going to do the entire project I had in mind but I have done some concept sketches for a couple of the subjects.

-Etsy: I have an account but havn't had a chance to create my portfolios to put up for sale. I'll be doing that within the next week. Hers the link anyway: InfinitysProductions on Etsy

-Collaboration: I will be honest. I havn't done much on this. I'm working around both mine and my friends schedules so its sorta hard to get in contact.

Meant to post yesterday but I ended up sleeping most of the day away. There really isn't much to report. I've been sick with a monster flu since roughly last friday night so I havn't been inspired to do much besides sleep and chug cough medicine. Blarg. DX

A little Introduction

Hi! I'm Infinity and I was kinda forced to make this blog for my creativity and the internet class. To be honest I dont like blogging very much but maybe threw this project I'll learn to like it, at least professionally.

I guess I'll start with a little about myself.

I am a Visual Arts major with an emphasis in Graphic Design but my passion is character design and book/portfolio making. I draw in a mix of far eastern and western cartoon-ish style that I think is pretty unique and all my own. In my down time I love playing video games, reading and generally messing around on the internet. My favorite game obsession right now is World of Warcraft so yes, it is safe to say I'm a giant nerd. :3


According to the assignment details we are suppose to use our blogs as a way to document our processes, inspiration, and artistic statements. More or less I'll be sticking to that because, like I said, I dont like blogging. But maybe as the semester goes on I'll find a reason to keep this around once I get my grades back. XD
